About Us:
Joan School of Nursing is a private training institution which was started in 2014 by a group of nurses. We are located within Masaba Hospital along Kisumu-Busia Highway.
We’re approved by the Nursing Council of Kenya and TVETA and has since graduated students into the job market for the last 6 years. The school was developed to respond to the need for reform in the current level of nursing practice in Kenya and to give the profession a better outlook.

Position Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and experienced nursing professionals to join our team as College Nursing Trainers. As a Nursing Trainer, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of aspiring nurses and healthcare professionals. If you are passionate about nursing education and have a strong background in clinical practice, we invite you to be part of our dynamic educational institution.
Key Responsibilities:
– Deliver engaging and effective nursing courses, ensuring that students gain a deep understanding of nursing concepts and skills.
– Create and update curriculum materials, incorporating the latest healthcare trends and evidence-based practices.
– Provide guidance and mentorship to students, fostering their professional growth and clinical competence.
– Evaluate student performance through assessments and examinations, offering constructive feedback for improvement.
– Collaborate with fellow educators and healthcare professionals to enhance the educational experience.
– Stay current with advancements in nursing and healthcare education.
Minimum Qualifications:
– Bachelors degree in Nursing or a related field.
-Diploma in Kenya Registered Nursing is an added advantage.
– Active and unencumbered nursing license.
– Substantial clinical experience as a registered nurse or advanced practice nurse.
– Previous teaching experience in a healthcare or academic setting is preferred.
– Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
– Commitment to professional development and staying current with healthcare and nursing education trends.
